Police in Hartford, Conn., arrested and charged two dozen teens with underage drinking at a party hosted by the reigning Miss Connecticut Outstanding Teen.

The pageant winner’s parents were out of town but it was unclear if Rachael Ramonas, 17, was charged, the Associated Press reported. Since the teen drinkers were juveniles, the police are not releasing their names.

As a pageant contestant, Rachael listed among her accomplishments a benefit she organized for families of victims of a fatal car crash. The teen driver in that crash, who was among those killed, had a history of drunken driving.

Underage drinking aside, it’s hard to blame a pageant winner for being popular. As an officer on the case told the AP, Rachael had planned a small gathering but it escalated: ”She invited some friends, and those friends invited some friends and those friends invited some friends, and it got out of hand.”
