Teens baked laxative brownies for rival dance team
What ever happened to just stealing the other team’s mascot or toilet papering houses?
Members of an El Paso high school dance team allegedly made laxative-laced brownies that they planned to give to the other dance team at a football game on Friday night, the El Paso Times reported. It’s a tradition for the teams to exchange gifts.
Three students of the Chapin Sapphire Dance Team have been suspended for three days and face further disciplinary action. Parents at Andress High, the rival school, claim that the dancers might have added potentially lethal products such as rat poison and Clorox bleach to the baked goods. The girls have denied those allegations, officials said.
El Paso police sent the brownies to a lab for analysis this week. It’s unclear how authorities found out about the dangerous desserts.
